Have you ever noticed that tailgaters never seem to get caught?

One of my biggest pet peeves is when I look in my rear view mirror, and I see a car that's a few inches from my back bumper.  


Are they trying to teach me a lesson?  If I'm already going over the speed limit, what exactly are they trying to accomplish?  If I'm in the right lane - PASS ME.  Then go and tailgate someone else.  Or else, I'm going to take my sweet time, and maybe even slow down a little bit and brake.  Whatever it takes to annoy the tailgater further, I'll do it.


Have you ever noticed that these guys never seem to get caught by the police?
