Have you ever noticed that if you are late for work, then the world will conspire against you to make you even more late? Case and point, the train tracks/railway crossing I drive over each day. These aren't your ordinary train tracks, where trains pass by in a minute or less.
No.
The train depot is about 1km from this railway crossing, and so the trains are ALWAYS moving incredibly slowly as they pass. They are either just speeding up (which takes a large train... forever), or they are slowing down... very, very, slowly... as they approach the depot.
It never fails - if I am late, then there's a train. If I've got all the time in the world - no train.
